About Programme
|

History
|
Fatih Sultan Mehmet Foundation University Traditional Turkish Arts MA Program with Thesis has started education and training in 2011-2012 academic year.

Qualification Awarded
|
Students who have successfully completed the Master Program with Thesis are awarded with a Master's Degree in Traditional Turkish Arts (with Thesis).

Admission Requirements
|
The applications of the students who have bachelor's degree and who have succeeded in the oral and written examinations of the institute are accepted.
|
Higher Grade Transition
|
Upon successful completion of the Master's program, graduates can apply to the Proficiency in Art program. Quotas and application areas are announced during the examination period. Proficiency in Arts programs have foreign language requirements. Candidates must receive a score of at least 55 from the UDS or one from the examinations accepted by the Interuniversity Board. Foreign students are required to take at least 60 out of one of the English, German and French language exams accepted by UDS or the Interuniversity Board. Students' grade point average, interview / talent exam / portfolio examination and written information evaluation exams determine the grade. Other documents requested and their impact on the grade are announced in the exam period. Ales condition is not required.

Graduation Requirements
|
Students who successfully complete the thesis study and who have successfully completed the thesis study and who have successfully completed the thesis study and graduate from the program with a minimum of 2.50 GANO.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates
|
Graduate graduates; They have the opportunity to carry out scientific researches in public or private sector in related fields of art. They can work in related fields of restoration and conservation. They can do maintenance and repair of old works with scientific methods and can work in museums and libraries.

Assessment and Grading
|
For each course, at least one midterm exam and one final exam are scheduled at the semester. At the end of the final exams 100 points should be taken at least 65. In the applied courses, the exam grades are determined by the evaluation of homework, research and similar studies according to the nature of the application. The success grade of a course is obtained by evaluating mid-term exam grade point average and midterm exam grade. The effect of the final exam on the final grade is 60%. To be considered successful, GANO must be at least 2.50. There is no make-up exam.
