About Programme
|
Proficiency in Art Program aims to train academic staff and
artists who can develop original pieces of art, make original
presentations-performances, and who can examine concepts at a theoretical level
by questioning them with modern art methods. It is expected that the report
prepared with the Proficiency in Art Program art work project created at the
end of the Proficiency in Art Program education, as well as the performance,
exhibition or similar works presented should add innovative aspects to the
field of fine arts from the perspective of implementation techniques, methods
or theories.

Admission Requirements
|
The applications of the students who have a master's degree, who have a score of at least 55, and who have succeeded in the oral and written examinations of the institute, are accepted.

Higher Grade Transition
|
The graduates of this program can apply to postdoctoral programs in accordance with their areas of specialty.
|
Graduation Requirements
|
The graduate students in this doctoral program must complete a minimum of 24 local credits (8 courses) and a thesis; they must be successful in all of the courses with a minimum achievement grade of BB, must have completed 240 ECTS credits and have scored a minimum CGPA of 3.00/4.00 to qualify for graduation.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates
|
With the Proficiency in Art Program, what is expected from the graduates is to have reached a level of competency permitting them to carry out their professions in related national and international public and private institutions or in their own independent workshops as artists, academicians and educators in the field of fine arts who have reached a practical or theoretical advanced level in their fields, who are able to share their knowledge at an artistic or theoretical level, who can relate to other disciplines outside of his/her own and to reflect this to his/her artwork

Assessment and Grading
|
G (Pass/Successful) grade indicates that the student has been successful / satisfactory in a course or activity. K(Fail/Unsuccessful) grade indicates that the student has been unsuccessful / unsatisfactory in a course or activity. M (Exemption) grade indicates that the student have exemption for the previous program courses which are deemed equivalent to the courses offered in the program. Decision for the course exemption is made by the relevant faculty committee. G, K and M grades aren’t included in the CGPA (AGNO). E(Incomplete) grade indicates that the faculty member who carries out the course hasn’t entered the grade into the automation system. These grades are entered into the system by the decision of the execute board of the Graduate School.
