About Programme
The Master of Science Program in Public Law provides primarily to the student's notion of scientific research, the ability to evaluate and interpret information. However, by interpreting the rules of law, it gives the ability to solve the legal problems in practical life.

History
|
Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakıf University Public Law Master Program with Thesis has started education and training in 2016-2017 academic year.

Qualification Awarded
|
Students who have successfully completed the Master Program with Thesis are awarded with a Master of Public Law (Thesis) degree.
|
Admission Requirements
|
According to the admission conditions determined by YÖK; Students who have graduated from Faculty of Law, who have at least 55 ALES Equal Weight points, who have succeeded in the oral and written examinations of the institute, are accepted.

Higher Grade Transition
|
Graduates of the Program with thesis option can apply to Ph.D. depending on their academic goals.

Graduation Requirements
For the Public Law LL.M Program, the total ECTS credits required for graduation is 90 ECTS. Each course in the Program carries a credit load of 7.5 ECTS. If the student is pursuing an LL.M with Thesis, they should successfully complete a course load of 60 ECTS (8 courses) and a Thesis Module of 30 ECTS, which consists of SBE 500 Graduate Seminar and SBE 590 Thesis, as outlined in GSSS by-laws and guidelines. Students pursuing an LL.M without Thesis should successfully complete a course load of 75ECTS (10 courses) and a Project Module of 15 ECTS, which consists of SBE 580 Project, as outlined in GSSS by-laws and guidelines. In addition to fulfilling the afore-mentioned requirements, the student should achieve a minimum GPA of 2.50/4.00.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates
Graduates can continue their academic careers and they can work for private or public sector and non govermental organizations. If the students were also graduated from a law faculty they can combine the graduation areas with the skills of the Public Law LL.M program and can work as lawyers, prosecutors and judges.
