|
The purpose of the graduate program in Architectural Design, is to investigate and examine the multi-disciplinary relationship between architecture, design and urban design, and use these acquisitions in academic platformsin the context of contemporary theories and approaches.

Fatih Sultan Mehmet Foundation University Architecture PhD Program has started its education in 2011-2012 academic year.

Admission Requirements
|
According to the admission conditions determined by YÖK; The students who have graduated from the related field, who have at least 55 in ALES Numerical score type, who have a YDS / YÖKDİL score of at least 55 and who have succeeded in the oral and written examinations of the institute, are accepted.

Higher Grade Transition
|
The graduates of this program can apply to postdoctoral programs in accordance with their areas of specialty.

Graduation Requirements
|
The graduate students in this doctoral program must complete a minimum of 24 local credits (8 courses) and a thesis; they must be successful in all of the courses with a minimum achievement grade of BB, must have completed 240 ECTS credits and have scored a minimum CGPA of 3.00/4.00 to qualify for graduation.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates
|
At the end of the training, it’s intended to give students is , to examine the architectural design of contemporary theories and approaches in the context of the city and the urban space by examining the ability to use this platform, to gain both professional and academic applications.

Assessment and Grading
|
G (Pass/Successful) grade indicates that the student has been successful / satisfactory in a course or activity. K(Fail/Unsuccessful) grade indicates that the student has been unsuccessful / unsatisfactory in a course or activity. M (Exemption) grade indicates that the student have exemption for the previous program courses which are deemed equivalent to the courses offered in the program. Decision for the course exemption is made by the relevant faculty committee. G, K and M grades aren’t included in the CGPA (AGNO). E(Incomplete) grade indicates that the faculty member who carries out the course hasn’t entered the grade into the automation system. These grades are entered into the system by the decision of the execute board of the Graduate School.
