About Programme
| Basic Islamic Studies is an undergraduate programme which designed to equip students with a comprehensive knowledge in the major courses of the Qur'an and the Sunnah. It offers students with relevant courses that incorporate both the theoretical and practical methods of discipline, covering the classical and contemporary subjects that matters as well as issues related to Qur’anic and Sunnah studies. | |

History
|
The faculty of islamic studies started in 2011-2012 with 80 students, including 20 foreigners; that number has increased to 100 and the quota has been fulfilled 100% since 2013-2014 academic year.

Qualification Awarded
|
Students are awarded with a Bachelor's Degree in Islamic Sciences upon successful completion of all the requirements in the curriculum program and fulfilling all other requirements for graduation.

Admission Requirements
|
The admission to Islamic Sciences program is based on the results of the Central Placement Examination administered by OSYM.
|
Higher Grade Transition
|
Graduates with the Bachelor's Degree in Islamic Sciences may apply to second and third cycle programs in the related fields.
|
Graduation Requirements
|
The students who have successfully completed all courses of the program, 240 ECTS credits, are given Bachelor's Degree in Islamic Sciences.
|
Occupational Profiles of Graduates
Upon graduation, our students will receive the degree (diploma) of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences equivalent to the degree given by the Theology Faculties in Turkey.
Graduate students will be entitled to work in the various institutions of the Turkish Ministry of Education and the Presidency of Religious Affairs. They can work as religious teachers or instructors in the Turkic countries, in the Balkans, and in other countries where Turkish citizens live; as well as contribute to the meeting of the needs of our country and citizens in terms of formal and informal religious education.

Assessment and Grading
|
The exam evaluation is carried out in accordance with the rules set forth in the FSMVU “Associate and Undergraduate Education and Training Regulation” and the “Arabic Preparatory Program Education and Training Directive.”
