History
|
Arabiv Language Education program is one of the four departments of the Faculty of Education, which was established in 2019. One year of Arabic preparation (compulsory) and four years of undergraduate education are given.

Qualification Awarded
|
Students who have successfully completed the Arabic Language Education Program are entitled to receive the title of "Bachelor Degree" and "Arabic Teacher".
|
Admission Requirements
|
Students are accepted to the program according to the result of the Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS) which is applied by Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM).
|
Higher Grade Transition
|
Students who have successfully completed undergraduate education in Arabic Language Education will continue their education in the framework of regulations and rules determined by YÖK and related higher education institutions.
|
Graduation Requirements
|
To successfully complete the program, it is necessary to pass all courses in the program (equivalent to 240 ECTS), obtain a weighted grade point average of at least 2.00 out of 4.00, and successfully complete the Teaching Practice (Internship) courses.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates
Career Opportunities Graduates of this department have the right to teach in all public schools and private schools connected to the Ministry of Education. They may have the job opportunities in Arabic language courses and also in the commercial activities of the private sector carried out in the countries that these languages are spoken. Arabic is becoming more and more important day by day in terms of both the width of its spoken geography, and also the strategic importance of this region in the world. The graduates of this department are also employed in areas such as Tourism, Finance, Logistics, Ministries, Banks, Radio and TV Publishers, Translatorship, Copywriting. They can also continue to master and PhD programs later.

Assessment and Grading
|
Exam evaluation rules are based on "Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakıf University, Associate Degree and Bachelor's Degree Training Regulation". Different measurement tools such as midterm, final, quiz, presentation, homework, project, portfolio, application can be included in this process to be indicated in the information form by the content of the presented course and by the relevant teaching staff. The effect rate of these measurement process on success grade can range from 40% to 60%. Success grade is determined based on midterm work and final grade. An excuse examination is applied for students who have a valid excuse accepted by the relevant board of the faculty.
