About Programme

The Special Education Teaching program is one of the five departments of the Faculty of Education, which was established in 2022. Four years of undergraduate education is provided.

History
The Department of Special Education was opened within the Faculty of Education in 2022-2023 and started accepting students.
Qualification Awarded
When the program is successfully completed and program qualifications are met, you will receive a Bachelor's degree in Special Education Teaching.
Admission Requirements
The student who wants to enroll in the department must complete the processes / pass the exams determined by ÖSYM within the framework of the academic and legal legislation of the university. A student who has started his/her education in an equivalent program at home or abroad can apply for horizontal transfer. The admission of students is examined and evaluated individually before the start of the semester, taking into account each student's conditions and the degree to which he/she has applied.
Higher Grade Transition
Those who successfully complete the program can apply for Master's Degree in Special Education and Doctorate Program in Special Education.
Graduation Requirements
To graduate from this department, students must meet the following conditions:
1. Successfully complete the courses in all semesters,
2. Having taken courses worth at least 240 ECTS credits,
3. The overall grade point average is at least 2.00,
4. Successfully complete the Teaching Practice (Internship) courses.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates
The student who successfully completes the program can work as a special education teacher in public schools and private special education and rehabilitation centers that provide education in the field of special education. Can work in special education departments of Guidance Research Centers.
Assessment and Grading
Exams are 40% midterm and 60% final.
