About Programme
|
To carry out education, research and publications on Islamic culture and civilization's scientific heritage; To ensure that all work to be done in the field of Islamic Science and Technology is within the principles laid down by Islam and Islamic tradition; to present the results of these studies to the service of experts and students of the subject, as well as to those who are closely involved with the subject and the whole humanity.

History
|
In 2013, It was founded under Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kaçar's presidency. The training started with 20 students in the 2013-2014 education year. Education in cooperation with the Professor Dr. Fuat Sezgin Foundation of History of Islamic Science and the museum is continuing.

Qualification Awarded
This is a first cycle degree program in the science of History of Science (240 ECTS). You will be awarded, on successful completion of the programme and gain competencies, a degree of Bachelor in History of Science.

Admission Requirements
|
Student who are willing to enter the department, must pass the examinations and complete the process which organized and assessed by OSYM (Turkish ETS) with in the framework of academic and legal legislation. Student who had started an education of equivalent programme in or out of the country, he can make an application for undergraduate transfer. The acceptations are investigated and evaluated before the start of semester by considering the condition of each student and degree of application. Students from out of the country within the student exchange programme which defined the limitations by a contract and approved from the university, can get the courses which are in English.

Higher Grade Transition

Graduates with the Bachelor's Degree in History of Science may apply to second and third cycle programs in the related fields.

Graduation Requirements
|
A student is required to have a minimum CGPA of 2.00/4.00 and no failing grades.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates
|
Graduates from our department are prepared above all for research posts in universities, and also find opportunities in museums and schools, or in writing and other work related to cultural life.
