History
|
Our department was established to raise architects who will become distinguished members of the national and international circles of architecture to help create life spaces that the society needs and to increase the quality of the physical environment as well as contribute to a public awareness on architectural culture. Additionally, the department aims to contribute to the skilled workforce that is required to transfer our rich cultural heritage to the next generations with a feeling of responsibility and awareness to protect our immovable cultural assets with a historical and artistic value.

Qualification Awarded
|
Students who successfully complete the program and receive their Bachelor of Architecture degree are eligible for an architect license from the Chamber of Architects of Turkey.

Admission Requirements
The admission to Architecture program is based on the results of the Central Placement Examination administered by OSYM.
|
Higher Grade Transition
|
Students who succeed in this program can apply to study in graduate programs.
|
Graduation Requirements
To graduate from this program;
Students must have a C.G.P.A. of not less than 2.00, and have completed all the courses successfully in the program (240 ECTS); must have at least 2 elective courses in each gruup (A, B, C and D) and totally 2 university elective courses; and the internship works must have been accepted in order to graduate.

Our graduates can work in all branches of architecture, as well as, offices, building sites and public bodies.

Assessment and Grading
|
In addition to midterm examinations and other work, students are required to take a final examination. At least one midterm examination is given during each semester. Dates of midterm examinations are announced by the Departments concerned in the first month of the semester. Changes in the dates of midterms are possible through the approval of the Chairman of the Department. Final examinations are held at the appropriate place and hour as decided and announced by the University. The student is given a grade by the course instructor by taking into account the midterm examinations, final examinations, the semesters work and attendance.
