The program commenced its educational activities in the 2025-2026 academic year with 18 students.

Qualification Awarded
|
Students who successfully complete the Interior Design Associate Degree Program are awarded an associate degree in Interior Design and graduates earn the title of “Technician.”

Admission Requirements
|
Students are admitted to the program based on the TYT score type within the framework of the conditions determined by Law No. 2547 on Higher Education, the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), and the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) through the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS).
|
Higher Grade Transition
|
Graduates particularly have the opportunity to transfer to programs such as Interior Architecture, Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, and Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage. To make these transfers, it is necessary to obtain the required score on the DGS, which is conducted by ÖSYM.

Graduation Requirements
|
To graduate from the Interior Design Associate Degree Program, students must successfully complete all courses in the program, achieve a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale, complete a total of 120 ECTS credits, and fulfill the mandatory summer internship. Successful students are awarded an associate degree in Interior Design and earn the title of “Technician.”

Occupational Profiles of Graduates
|
Graduates of the Interior Design program have employment opportunities in architecture and interior design offices, furniture and decoration companies, exhibition and fair stand design, yacht design, stage and window display design, as well as in public institutions such as construction departments, culture and tourism directorates, municipalities, and state theaters for interior arrangement, exhibition, and stage design tasks, or they can work as freelance designers.

Assessment and Grading
|
In the Interior Design Associate Degree Program, students are evaluated through both theoretical and practical courses. Theoretical exams may consist of multiple-choice, fill-in-the-blank, matching, or open-ended questions. In practical and project courses, students’ design projects, drawings, and models are assessed, and project presentations are usually conducted in front of a jury. Academic success is determined holistically through midterm exams, projects, practical work, and final exams.
