History
Established in 2025 in alignment with the Council of Higher Education’s 'Professions of the Future' vision, the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakıf University Office Technologies and Data Management Program commenced student admission in the Fall semester of the 2025–2026 academic year. The program was founded to meet the demand for highly qualified human resources proficient in modern office applications and possessing advanced data processing and management skills necessitated by the digital age.

The program adopts an innovative and multidisciplinary educational approach that integrates office technologies, advanced office software, digital document and data management, business process optimization, and corporate communication. Students acquire competency in contemporary applications such as data analytics, digital archiving, reporting, and automation systems. Through the university's robust academic infrastructure, its collaborations with the industry, and technology-supported application laboratories, students gain the opportunity to synthesize theoretical knowledge with practical skills.
Qualification Awarded
Upon successful completion of the Office Technologies and Data Management Program, students are awarded the 'Associate Degree in Office Technologies and Data Management'. The program is characterized as an applied vocational education aiming to cultivate professionals equipped to manage the digital infrastructure of contemporary business environments, adopt a data-driven mindset, effectively plan and execute corporate processes, and utilize technology as a strategic instrument.
Admission Requirements
Admission to the program is conducted based on the TYT (Basic Proficiency Test) score type, obtained from the Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS) administered in Turkey. The student placement process is executed in accordance with the procedures and principles determined by the Measuring, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM). To enroll in the program, candidates are required to have graduated from a high school or an equivalent secondary education institution.

Furthermore, procedures such as lateral transfer, vertical transfer, and special student admission are evaluated and implemented within the framework of the regulations set forth by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) and the relevant regulations of FSMVU.
Higher Grade Transition
Graduates of the Office Technologies and Data Management Program, contingent upon their success in the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS), acquire the right to continue their education at the four-year bachelor's level by transferring to relevant undergraduate programs designated by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK). This provision enables students to deepen the knowledge, skills, and experience acquired at the associate degree level on a more advanced academic foundation and to broaden their fields of specialization. Consequently, graduates can leverage academic development opportunities, thereby enhancing their professional competencies and shaping their career paths from a broader perspective.
Graduation Requirements
To qualify for graduation from the program, students are required to achieve a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.00, successfully complete the course load of at least 120 ECTS specified in the program curriculum, and must not have failed any courses. Successful completion of the program necessitates that students fully satisfy all prescribed theoretical and applied competencies.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates
Graduates of the Office Technologies and Data Management Program are employable across a wide career spectrum within the public and private sectors. Graduates may assume titles such as Data Analyst, Business Intelligence Specialist, Digital Transformation Specialist, Office and Process Automation Specialist, CRM/ERP System Administrator, Business Process Specialist, Project Coordinator, Social Media Specialist, Digital Marketing Specialist, System Analyst, and Reporting Specialist. The digitalization of the business world and the growth of data-driven management paradigms present our graduates with extensive and dynamic career opportunities on both national and international scales.
Assessment and Grading
Within the scope of each course, the students' achievement level is measured by a final examination, in addition to intra-term assessment elements such as midterm examinations, assignments, practical activities, and project work. Achievement grades are calculated based on the letter grading system (AA–FF). For courses that integrate theoretical and applied education, as well as during internship processes, students' attendance status, application performance, and report evaluations are taken into consideration. Accordingly, not only the students' theoretical knowledge levels but also their practical skills and professional competencies are comprehensively assessed.
